What a finished seam teaches you about patience
Nobody sees the inside of a doll dress. I finish it anyway, and here is why that matters more the older I get.

CKBD / NKBA Certified Specialist
I am fifty-six years old, an only child, and a grandmother (which is far and away the best of the titles). I love sewing and every kind of handwork — embroidery, cross stitch, knitting — along with genealogy, gardening, cooking, and anything at all to do with family and home.
My favourite colour is pink and chocolate milk is my comfort food. I am managing lifelong depression and grieving my sweet parents, and I am writing about all of it: the making, the learning, and the very unique childhood I had in a one-room hand-built log cabin on the side of a mountain in Montana.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, I am a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer with the NKBA, and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a disciple of Christ.

Pillows, curtains, and quiet textiles for the rooms you actually live in. Made for home, made to rest. Coming soon.
Thirty-six years of tracing family lines. If you would like to know where you come from, I would love to help you find it.
My own work is not photographed yet, so this is a coming-soon page. In the meantime, here is what will live here — and the Pinterest boards I have been collecting while I get there.
